CBS 4 Denver Kathy Walsh Televised Newscast released last night!
wdaytonco September 27th, 2007
Yesterday evening, Kathy Walsh, CBS 4 Denver Reporter and Anchor, Health Specialist reported on Darrin and Katee Clock and their battle with cancer (and chemotheraphy.)
Dude! you are looking Mawwvelous! you got a full head of hair and everything – well, ok, but at least as full as before the procedures! I’m so glad to hear that the current round of treatments is having an unexpected positive effect – praise God! I also saw a copy of Yancey’s book on the new 4 interview – great book – we’re studying it in our small group right now. even though Linda and I are baffled as to what to ask God for, we pray for you and your daughter and your family regularly – God DOES care, and he DOES have a plan!

Hello,
We have never met, but we have met your daughter before. It’s been several months ago, but me and my family were dining at Angies. And at the time, my son Kohl was going through a year’s worth of chemo. We began to get used to the stares when we went out. However, your daughter was different. Rather than pretending not to notice, she came right out and asked what was Kohl’s diagnosis. It was soooooo nice to finally have someone just ask rather than pretend they didn’t notice. Kohl’s diagnosis was Ewings Sarcoma which is a very fast spreading bone cancer. Luckily we caught it early. He had the radius bone in his arm replaced with a cadaver bone and he went through a years worth of chemo. We just finished up last month. But back to you and your daughter. She told us the diagnosis you had and how good of an attitude you all had about. She even offered to have us meet you if we needed any advice. (as a side note, we knew who she was talking about as we had just read the article in the Douglas County News Press the same day). She was just the absoluted sweetest person. I remember leaving her a $20 tip and thinking how I wished more people were like her. She probably doesn’t remember the night as well as my wife and I do. And now to hear this story really breaks my heart. My wife just broke down and started to cry during the TV interview. I only wish there was something we could do to help like she helped us that night. Not sure what it could be other than we will pray for you both every night. Perhaps we could make you dinner and bring it over. We also live in Castle Rock so please feel free to contact us. We would love to meet you some day. I can tell you we will attend the Angies dinner on Oct 6th!
